The 2003 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic with Sidecar takes the full-dress Electra Glide Classic — hard saddlebags, chrome touring trim, big relaxed ergonomics — and bolts on a third wheel, turning it into a stable, two-up rig built for long highway hauls without the lean-in-the-turns learning curve of a solo bagger. Power comes from the fuel-injected Twin Cam 88, Harley's touring workhorse of the era. This FLHTC/I never came with a screen or phone connection, so the fix for this 2003 Sidecar is the HogPlay Media Screen bolted to the bars.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2003 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic with Sidecar (FLHTCI) left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Riding a sidecar rig is its own discipline — throttle and brake do more of the steering work than lean angle, and the extra wheel means the FLHTC/I tracks straight and planted at highway speed, which is exactly where a fuel-injected Twin Cam 88 likes to sit. It's a bike built for mile-after-mile touring, whether that's a passenger in the car or gear stacked where a passenger would sit.
The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebar in view of the rider, not buried in a sidecar dash. It's a simple wire-in job — power, ground, done — and the mount reverses if you want the screen angled differently for sidecar-driving posture. No cutting into the fairing, no factory harness to hunt down.
Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so your 2003 FLHTC/I Sidecar can pair a phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while a second channel feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker riding along in the sidecar. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own if that's all you need. The housing is fully sealed and waterproof, built rugged enough for a rig that spends its life exposed to the elements.
