2020 Indian Challenger Android Auto & CarPlay Guide

The 2020 Challenger and Challenger Limited both come standard with Indian’s Ride Command touchscreen and wired Apple CarPlay right out of the crate, but Android Auto is nowhere to be found on either bike, a gap that catches a lot of Challenger buyers off guard.

About 2020 Indian Challenger Models

Indian’s liquid-cooled 2020 Challenger and the more heavily equipped Challenger Limited share the same seven-inch Ride Command display, and Apple CarPlay works over a wired USB connection from the day you ride it off the lot. Android Auto, though, has never been part of Ride Command’s feature set on any Indian model, which leaves Android-carrying riders locked out of turn-by-turn and app mirroring on an otherwise fully modern dash.

A CarPlay bypass adaptor patches that gap and brings Android Auto to the factory Ride Command screen on both Challenger trims. Our Ride Command radio guide covers the wiring and what to expect once Android Auto is running on the stock display.
