The 2016 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S was the meanest Dyna Harley ever built stock — the first Dyna to get mid-mounted controls, dual front disc brakes, and inverted 43mm forks, wrapped in a blacked-out, cafe-racer-inspired package aimed at riders who wanted attitude and acceleration. Power came from the High Output Twin Cam 103, factory-bored to 110 cubic inches via a Screamin' Eagle Stage III kit, making it one of the quickest-accelerating Harleys of its day. What it never got was a factory radio or screen. Drop in the HogPlay Media Screen and give your Low Rider S wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the bars.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2016 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2016 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2016 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S

The Low Rider S traded the standard Dyna's laid-back stance for a stripped, purposeful look: mini fairing, single round headlamp, low drag bars, solo seat, and a blacked-out 103/110 big-twin left with almost every finish darkened. It was built to feel like a factory street brawler, not a boulevard cruiser — and Harley never wired one for navigation, music, or a phone connection.

The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that without touching the bike's stripped-down character. The 7-inch display mounts to the bars, taps into a power and ground point, and pairs wirelessly with your phone for CarPlay or Android Auto right where the low-mount controls put your eyes. It's fully reversible, so nothing about the Low Rider S's factory setup is permanently altered.

Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so your 2016 Low Rider S can stay paired to your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while a second channel feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own, no extra wiring needed. And because this bike sees rain, dust, and open road with nothing to hide behind, the unit is fully sealed and waterproof, built rugged enough for whatever the elements throw at it.
