Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto for the 2011 Harley-Davidson Street Glide

Both the 2011 Street Glide and the Street Glide Trike ran the same factory batwing-fairing stereo, built years before CarPlay support was even a possibility and with no way to add it after the fact through any update. Here's exactly how HogPlay updates either one, model by model.

About 2011 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Models

Street Glide's signature batwing fairing housed a factory AM/FM audio system in 2011, and that held true whether you rode the standard two-wheel Street Glide or the three-wheel Street Glide Trike. The stereo plays music and handles a CD just fine, but the underlying electronics were designed years before CarPlay or Android Auto existed — there's no update path that adds smartphone mirroring after the fact.

HogPlay brings either version current with a CarPlay-ready aftermarket radio sized for the batwing fairing, or a bar-mounted Media Screen for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto that runs alongside the factory gauges. The same two options apply whether it's parked next to a Road Glide or an Electra Glide in the garage, and both bolt on without cutting factory wiring.
