The 2002 Night Train wears Harley's blacked-out bobber look the way it was meant to be worn — drag bars, a solo seat, and a stripped Softail frame powered by the carbureted Twin Cam 88, all business and zero chrome clutter. It's a bike built for minimalism, not dashboards, so there's never been a factory stereo or screen anywhere near those bars. The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that without ruining the stripped-down stance: a 7-inch bar-mount unit that adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a 2002 Night Train that was never meant to have either.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2002 Harley-Davidson Night Train left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Harley leaned hard into attitude with the Night Train — matte black engine covers, a chrome primary, staggered shorty pipes, and a chopped-fender silhouette that made it one of the meanest-looking Softails of the early 2000s. What it never got was wiring for audio or navigation, since the Twin Cam 88 era predates any factory infotainment on Softail models. The HogPlay screen mounts right to the bars in that same drag-style stance, taps a 12V power source and ground, and wires up in an afternoon. The mount is reversible, so nothing about the Night Train's factory look is permanently altered — pull it off and the bike goes right back to stock.
Add the HogPlay Media Screen to your 2002 Night Train and get two Bluetooth channels working at once — one pairs your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, the other feeds a handlebar speaker, portable Bluetooth speaker, or auxiliary amp. A built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn directions and light audio on its own, no phone volume required. The whole unit is fully sealed and waterproof, rugged enough to live on a Night Train's bars through rain, heat, and highway vibration alike.
