About 2002 Motorcycles
The liquid-cooled V-Rod grabbed the headlines in 2002, but its dash was as bare of audio as a Sportster's — no speakers, no tuner, nothing. Touring models carried on with the same basic AM/FM setup Harley had used for years, adequate for a local station and little else. Nothing in the 2002 lineup, radical or ordinary, was built with a phone in mind.
Wireless CarPlay comes to a 2002 Harley-Davidson two different ways depending on the model: an aftermarket head unit for touring bikes with an existing radio bay, or a bar-mounted Media Screen for the V-Rod, Softail, Dyna, or Sportster models that never had one. Fitment on the V-Rod matches the same handlebar-clamp hardware used across Softail and Dyna models that year.
