By 1997 the Dyna Super Glide had kept its straightforward, do-everything reputation intact, riding on the same rubber-mounted Evolution 1340 and the same blank dash.

The HogPlay Media Screen brings a 7-inch handlebar-mounted display, tied into the bike's power and ground, giving the 1997 Super Glide wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 1997 Harley-Davidson Super Glide left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 1997 Harley-Davidson Super Glide and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 1997 Harley-Davidson Super Glide

The Super Glide's straight handlebar makes for an easy, centered mount for the HogPlay 7-inch Media Screen, clear of the factory gauges.

Power and ground wiring routes behind the headlight, and the mount is fully reversible so the bike stays true to stock underneath.

On the 1997 Super Glide, the HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebar and adds what the factory dash skipped entirely. Dual Bluetooth connects to your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto and separately to an aux amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable speaker. A built-in speaker covers prompts alone when that's all you need. It's fully sealed, waterproof, and rugged enough for daily miles.
