1997 CVO Road Glide CarPlay Fitment

Only one CVO left the factory in 1997: the CVO Road Glide, a limited-run, higher-trim version of the standard Road Glide that kept the same factory AM/FM cassette deck despite its custom paint, added chrome, and premium badging over the base bike it was built from.

About 1997 Harley-Davidson CVO Models

Harley's CVO program stayed small in 1997, producing just the CVO Road Glide as a dressed-up, limited-production variant of the standard bike. The extra money went into paint, badging, and trim — not audio. This CVO shipped with the identical cassette-based AM/FM unit found in any standard-issue 1997 Road Glide, right down to the same speakers and wiring harness underneath the fairing.

Because the fairing and dash cutout match the standard bike, an aftermarket CarPlay radio installs the same way, bringing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to this limited-run CVO without any custom fabrication or extra wiring work. Riders cross-shopping should also look at the Ultra and Electra Glide families, which use an identical fitment path and the same aftermarket radio part.
