2022 Harley-Davidson Standard
Android Auto, CarPlay & Streaming Apps for 2022 Harley-Davidson Standard

| Factory USB location | None |
By 2022 the Standard has settled into its role as Harley's no-frills entry point to the Softail line, still running the Milwaukee-Eight 107 with none of the fairings, tour packs, or stereo hardware found elsewhere in the lineup. There was never a factory screen to upgrade or a head unit to swap. HogPlay's bar-mounted Media Screen adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto directly to the bars, with nothing else to remove.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2022 Harley-Davidson Standard left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

By 2022, the Standard has settled in as Harley's no-frills Softail — Milwaukee-Eight 107 power, minimal bodywork, and a cockpit that's just handlebars, switches, and gauges. There's no factory infotainment anywhere on it, which is exactly the point of the model.
Riders adding CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike like this usually want the same three things: navigation they can glance at instead of hunting for on a phone, phone calls routed cleanly through a helmet speaker, and music or podcasts they can control without pulling a device out mid-ride. A bare-bars bike needs all of that delivered as one self-contained piece, since there's no existing screen or stereo to build on.
The HogPlay Media Screen mounts straight to the bars and is that piece: a 7-inch display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto already inside, running on power and ground with no factory radio to tap. It also handles Bluetooth audio in and out, so it can pair with a portable Bluetooth speaker or connect into an amplifier and speaker system already on the motorcycle for a fuller motorcycle media setup than the screen's own speakers alone.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2022 Harley-Davidson Standard runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2022 Harley-Davidson Standard rides in.
