2022 Harley-Davidson Softail & Cruiser Models

2022 Softail, Sportster & Cruiser Media Screen Guide

Fourteen different 2022 models land in this bucket — everything from the drag-styled Fat Bob to the adventure-ready Pan America 1250 — and not one of them comes from the factory with a screen that runs Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, so the starting point for every bike here is the same HogPlay Media Screen rather than a bypass adapter.

About 2022 Harley-Davidson Softail & Cruiser Models

Unlike the touring lineup, none of Harley's 2022 Softail, Sportster, or Pan America models ship with an infotainment touchscreen wired for CarPlay, so there's no factory system to unlock — the fix is adding one. Cruisers like the Fat Boy and Heritage Classic get a bar-mounted or dash-integrated HogPlay Media Screen that brings full CarPlay and Android Auto navigation, calls, and music to a bike that never had it.

Sportster-platform models such as the Forty-Eight and the new Sportster S use the same approach, just in a smaller footprint to match their stripped-down cockpits, and riders adding audio for the first time often pair the screen with a USB piglet adaptor for a cleaner wiring run under the tank.
