2020 Indian Chief & Chief Dark Horse Media Screen Fix

The relaunched 2020 Chief and blacked-out Chief Dark Horse went back to a minimalist, gauge-only cockpit with no Ride Command touchscreen at all, putting them closer to a Harley Softail than to Indian’s own Chieftain and Roadmaster in terms of factory infotainment.

About 2020 Indian Chief Models

When Indian brought the Chief nameplate back for 2020, both the Chief and the Chief Dark Horse shipped without the Ride Command display found on the brand’s Chieftain and Roadmaster touring bikes — just a simple analog gauge and no built-in stereo. That is a deliberate stripped-down look, but it also means there is no factory screen to bypass or unlock for CarPlay.

A HogPlay Media Screen adds a self-contained Apple CarPlay and Android Auto display to either Chief trim, complete with its own speakers, without any factory wiring to work around. It is the same solution HogPlay recommends for screen-less cruisers across the Harley and Indian lineups alike.
