2020 Harley-Davidson Road King — HogPlay 7-inch CarPlay & Android Auto screen fitment

EngineMilwaukee-Eight 107
Factory head unitNo factory options — HogPlay Screen recommended
Factory USB locationNone

Powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 107, the 2020 Road King keeps its classic silhouette - big round headlight, wide bars, and not a single factory screen or speaker in sight. Harley never wired this year for infotainment of any kind, so riders are on their own for navigation, calls, and music unless they add something. HogPlay's answer is a self-contained 7-inch Media Screen that clamps to the handlebars and delivers wireless CarPlay and Android Auto without touching anything the factory built.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King

The 2020 Road King runs the same Milwaukee-Eight 107 that defines this generation of Harley touring bikes, wrapped in a bare-bones cockpit that skips the fairing and the electronics that usually come with one. It's a great engine and a great riding position with nothing to look at but analog gauges - which is precisely the case for adding a screen most riders eventually make.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto solve the real problems: seeing a route without pulling over to check a phone, taking a call without digging a hand off the bar, and controlling music with a glance instead of a fumble. Since the 2020 Road King has no factory radio, the HogPlay Media Screen isn't replacing anything - it's the bike's only head unit, mounted at the bars and wired to nothing but power and ground. Explore the Media Screen lineup to see the built-in-speaker model side by side with the DVR option.

Because the Media Screen also handles Bluetooth audio in and out, it isn't boxed into its own small speakers - it can push audio out to a portable Bluetooth speaker or into an existing amplifier and speaker setup on the bike, giving riders room to build out sound however they prefer.

The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2020 Harley-Davidson Road King rides in.
