The 2019 Low Rider reintroduced the nameplate on the Softail platform with mini-ape bars, a stripped-down blacked-out stance, and the Milwaukee-Eight 107 doing the work underneath. Harley never ran a wire for a radio or a screen on this bike, so there was nothing to look at and nothing to control from the bars. HogPlay's bar-mounted 7-inch Media Screen fills that gap directly, putting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the handlebars where no factory display ever existed.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2019 Harley-Davidson Low Rider left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2019 Harley-Davidson Low Rider and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2019 Harley-Davidson Low Rider

The 2019 Low Rider is a Softail through and through: low-slung, minimal, and built around the Milwaukee-Eight 107 rather than around a fairing full of electronics. That's the appeal of the bike, but it also means the cockpit is just bars, grips, and gauges - no display, no speaker, no place to plug in a phone.

A rider who wants turn-by-turn navigation, hands-free calls, and music pulled straight off their phone has nothing to work with on this bike from the factory. That's exactly the situation the HogPlay Media Screen was built for: it's a complete, self-contained head unit that bolts to the handlebars and only needs power and ground to come alive, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto built right into the display.

Because the Media Screen also carries Bluetooth audio in and out, it isn't limited to its own built-in speaker - it can stream out to a portable Bluetooth speaker or link into an amplifier and speaker setup already on the bike. For a Low Rider that rolled out of the factory with bare bars, it's the most direct way to add a real screen without touching anything that isn't there.

The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2019 Harley-Davidson Low Rider runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2019 Harley-Davidson Low Rider rides in.
