The 2019 Heritage Classic pairs deep-skirted fenders and laced wheels with a torquey Milwaukee-Eight 114, but Harley never gave this Softail a radio, a screen, or any kind of head unit. The bars are bare by design. HogPlay closes that gap with a 7-inch, bar-mounted Media Screen that bolts on and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike that was never wired for either.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

The 2019 Heritage Classic is built around the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a big, low-revving V-twin that suits the bike's cruiser-tourer stance: wide whitewalls, a leather-wrapped tank, and enough presence for long weekend rides. What it doesn't have is any factory instrumentation for a phone. No screen, no radio, no place to plug anything in - just a speedometer and open handlebars.
That absence is exactly why riders look for a way to get turn-by-turn navigation, hands-free calls, and their own music up on the bars instead of pulling out a phone at every stoplight. On a bike with no factory head unit, retrofitting an infotainment system usually means adapting something that was never designed for the bike in the first place.
The HogPlay Media Screen sidesteps that problem entirely. It's a self-contained 7-inch display that mounts to the handlebars and runs wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its own - no factory radio required, just a power and ground connection. It also carries Bluetooth audio in and out, so it can play through its own built-in speakers or hand audio off to a portable Bluetooth speaker or an amplifier already on the bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2019 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2019 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic rides in.
