The 2019 Fat Boy runs the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a torque-first V-twin that suits its low, solid-wheeled stance, but Harley kept the cockpit exactly as bare as every Fat Boy before it - no screen, no radio, nothing but a speedometer between the risers. HogPlay fills that gap with a 7-inch, bar-mounted Media Screen that needs only power and ground and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike that never had either.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

The 2019 Fat Boy pairs its trademark solid disc rear wheel and fat front tire with the Milwaukee-Eight 114, a big-inch Softail engine built for low-end pull rather than a high redline. It's a stripped-down platform by design, with none of the fairing or wiring that touring models carry - which is exactly why the handlebars left the factory with nothing mounted to them.
That bare setup is fine until you want turn-by-turn navigation, hands-free calls, or your own music on a longer ride. Since there was never a factory radio here, there's nothing to bypass or replace - the only way to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto onto this Fat Boy is to add a head unit where one never existed.
That's the job the HogPlay Media Screen was built for: a self-contained 7-inch display that bolts to the bars, wires to power and ground, and brings wireless CarPlay and Android Auto along with it. It also handles Bluetooth audio both in and out, so it can push sound through its own built-in speakers, hand off to a portable Bluetooth speaker, or feed an amplifier and speaker system already on the bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy rides in.
