The 2019 Fat Bob pairs its fat 150mm front tire and blacked-out muscle-cruiser stance with the Milwaukee-Eight 114, but Harley never ran a screen or head unit out to those bare handlebars. There's no factory radio to speak of, so there's nothing wired in and nothing to swap out. HogPlay's 7-inch Media Screen bolts straight to the bars and turns that blank cockpit into a self-contained hub for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

The 2019 Fat Bob is built around the Milwaukee-Eight 114, wrapped in the stubby, wide-tired stance that defines the model. Harley kept the cockpit minimal on this bike — no fairing, no gauge cluster big enough for a screen, no place for a stereo to live.
That bare-bars look is part of the Fat Bob's appeal, but it also means no turn-by-turn navigation, no hands-free calls, and no easy way to run music without pulling out a phone. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto solve all three, projecting the phone's interface straight onto a screen mounted where the rider can actually see it.
Because the 2019 Fat Bob never had a radio to tap into, the HogPlay Media Screen is built to stand on its own: mount it to the handlebars, run power and ground, and it handles wireless CarPlay and Android Auto by itself. It also carries Bluetooth audio in and out, so it can push sound to a portable Bluetooth speaker or feed an amplifier and speakers already on the bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob rides in.
