The 2008 Harley-Davidson Super Glide carries a lineage that runs back to 1971, when Willie G. Davidson's original FXD created the factory-custom blueprint every Dyna since has followed. This model year runs the Twin Cam 96 big twin in a rubber-mounted Dyna chassis with six-speed Cruise Drive — stripped-down, blacked-out, built to ride rather than show off. What it's never had is factory audio. Bolt on the HogPlay Media Screen and this 2008 Super Glide finally gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto right at the bars.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2008 Harley-Davidson Super Glide left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2008 Harley-Davidson Super Glide and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2008 Harley-Davidson Super Glide

The Super Glide has always been the no-nonsense Dyna — mid-mount controls, staggered shorty duals, minimal chrome — and the 2008 model keeps that formula intact while running the smoother 96-cube Twin Cam under rubber engine mounts. It was never offered with a factory fairing or radio, so sound has always meant wind and pipes.

The HogPlay Media Screen changes that without changing the bike's stripped-down look. The 7-inch unit clamps to the handlebars, taps into a 12V power source and ground, and pairs wirelessly with your phone. Install is fully reversible, so a 2008 Super Glide can run modern navigation and music today and go back to bone-stock tomorrow.

Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so your 2008 Super Glide can pair a phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while feeding an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker on the other. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own. The housing is fully sealed, waterproof, and rugged, built for whatever weather the ride brings.
