About 2008 Harley-Davidson

2008 was Harley's 105th anniversary year, and several touring and cruiser models got ANV badging and extra chrome to mark the occasion — but none of that touched the electronics. Fairing-equipped touring bikes such as the Electra Glide, Ultra, and Road King families used the same pre-Bluetooth head unit Harley had fitted since the late 1990s. Softail and Sportster-based cruisers, meanwhile, shipped with no stereo at all, factory or otherwise.

That means two upgrade paths under one model year: fairing bikes such as the CVO and Ultra families take an aftermarket CarPlay head unit or a bypass adaptor, while the Softail & Cruiser lineup and non-fairing Road King trims just need a bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen.
