The 2008 Heritage Classic sits right at the start of the Twin Cam 96 era, Harley's mid-cycle Softail update that traded the old 88 for a taller-torque 96-cube big twin, wrapped in leather saddlebags, valanced fenders, and whitewall-ready spoke wheels built to echo a machine from another decade. Harley leaned hard into throwback style for the Heritage Classic -- leather-wrapped hard bags, a big chromed headlamp nacelle, and wide whitewall tires -- while the 2007-updated Twin Cam 96 underneath quietly picked up more torque and smoother fuel injection than the Twin Cam 88 it replaced. None of that vintage-cruiser dash has a slot for a modern screen, and running wires through all that leather and chrome can look like a project. The HogPlay Media Screen skips the hassle: it mounts to the handlebar in view of the rider, wires straight to a switched power source and ground, and pairs wirelessly with a phone for full CarPlay or Android Auto. The mount is reversible too, so nothing about the stock cockpit gets permanently altered.
Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth: one channel pairs a phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto on the 2008 Heritage Classic, the other feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker.
