The 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine is a limited-run tribute edition built for Shriners charity riders, dressing the classic Heritage Softail in extra chrome, unique badging, and touring-style trim over a Twin Cam 88 big twin that pulls with that unmistakable low-end thump. It's full-dress, old-school Harley styling — leather saddlebags, laced wheels, a driver's windshield — but like every Heritage Softail of this era, it left the factory with zero infotainment. Bolt on the HogPlay Media Screen and this 2005 Heritage Softail Classic Shrine finally gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the bars.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine

Shrine editions like this one were built in small numbers to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children, and they carry that heritage in their extra badgework and finish on top of the Heritage Softail Classic's already classic silhouette — the Twin Cam 88 doing the work under all that chrome, fringed leather, and touring hardware. It's a bike built for long rides and charity runs alike, which is exactly where a modern screen earns its keep.

The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebars, so it fits this Heritage Softail's cockpit without hacking into the factory dash or tank console. Installation is a straightforward tap into power and ground, and the mount is fully reversible if you ever want the bars back to stock. Once it's on, your phone pairs wirelessly for CarPlay or Android Auto, and you've got real navigation, calls, and music where you can actually see it.

Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so on this 2005 Heritage Softail Classic Shrine you can keep your phone paired for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while a second channel feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker — whatever your setup calls for. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own, no extra wiring needed. And because Shrine riders log serious highway miles rain or shine, the whole unit is fully sealed, waterproof, and built rugged enough to shrug off the elements ride after ride.

Android Auto on the 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine: HogPlay makes the 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Shrine run wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — compare every Android Auto for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles option, then confirm your exact fit with What Fits.
