No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 1998 Harley-Davidson Flhr/I Sidecar left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Power and ground wiring routes behind the headlight nacelle, and the mount is fully reversible, leaving the factory setup untouched underneath.
The 1998 Road King sidecar rig finally gets a screen with the HogPlay Media Screen. Dual Bluetooth links to your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto and, on a second channel, to an aux amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small speaker built into the unit takes care of turn-by-turn prompts alone. The housing stays fully sealed, waterproof, and rugged through any weather a sidecar rig might see.
