The V2 is a Reserve head unit for 2014 and newer Harley-Davidson touring bikes. It replaces the factory radio and drops into the OEM location using factory mounting hardware, the OEM USB connection and the bike's integrated radio antenna, with no brackets, trim rings or antenna adapters required. It carries an 8in HD widescreen LCD, and it activates the Boom 1, Boom 2 and HD Audio OEM amplifiers.
Wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are both built in, so no HogPlay part is needed for phone projection. A USB Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirCast screen mirroring, which no head unit does natively, and a Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and other streaming apps. A bypass adaptor does not apply here — the V2 is an aftermarket unit, so there is no factory radio left to unlock.
What HogPlay adds to your V2
Your V2 already does wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, so you don't need us for that. What it can't do is stream: a HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and other apps straight to the screen that's already on your bike.
A USB Piglet adds Mirror Link and AirCast screen mirroring — putting your phone's actual screen on the dash, which no head unit does on its own.
A bypass adaptor doesn't apply to a SoundStream unit: a bypass unlocks a factory CarPlay radio, and yours has already replaced it.

A USB Piglet plugs into the head unit's USB port and adds Mirror Link and AirCast screen mirroring — mirroring your phone's actual screen to the dash, which no head unit does on its own.

Why there's no bypass adaptor here
A bypass adaptor unlocks a factory CarPlay head unit. Once a SoundStream V2 is installed there's no factory radio left to unlock — the V2 already does CarPlay itself. What HogPlay adds on top is screen mirroring and streaming, not activation.

No. 2024-and-newer Harley-Davidson touring models use the Skyline infotainment system, which runs on a digital A2B audio bus with no drop-in aftermarket head unit available — not from SoundStream, not from anyone else. The V2 is built for the 2014–2023 pre-Skyline dash, so check fitment for your Skyline bike’s current options.
My bike is a 2010 Road Glide — does the V2 work?
Not the V2 — it’s built for 2014–2023 touring dashes. For a 1998–2013 Road Glide you want the SoundStream WHDRG, which is shaped and wired for that older fairing.
I ride a 2008 Street Glide. What’s the right unit?
The V2 won’t fit a 2008 — it’s the 2014–2023 platform. For a 98–13 Street Glide or Ultra, look at the SoundStream SG-V2 (8.3″ screen) or the WHDSG (7″ screen), depending on the screen size you want.
Will the V2 activate my factory Boom amplifier?
