We're still mapping BRP fitment. If you ride one, our universal CarPlay screens fit regardless of your radio — and we'd like to hear from you so we can confirm the rest.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of infotainment system does Can-Am (BRP) use?

Can-Am is BRP’s on-road lineup — the Spyder RT, Spyder F3, and Ryker — and the factory display varies by model. Newer Spyder RT and F3 models run a 10.25″ touchscreen with BUAS — BRP’s in-house infotainment — while the Ryker sticks with a small non-touch instrument display. Check your model’s year and trim on our Can-Am model page to confirm what you’re working with.

Does the Spyder RT or F3 have Apple CarPlay?

MY2024&up Spyder RT and F3 models with the 10.25″ touchscreen have factory wired Apple CarPlay — but BRP gates it behind a paired Bluetooth headset before it’ll activate, and there’s no factory Android Auto at all. Riders with a compatible aftermarket or Bluetooth communicator can use it as-is; everyone else needs a workaround, which is where HogPlay comes in.

Is there Android Auto for a Spyder RT or F3?

No — BRP never built factory Android Auto into the Spyder touchscreen, only wired CarPlay. If you’re on Android, HogPlay’s Piglet adapter adds Android Auto (plus Mirror Link and AirPlay) to the existing screen without replacing any factory hardware.

Why won’t CarPlay turn on without a Bluetooth headset paired?

BRP built the Spyder’s CarPlay activation around a paired Bluetooth helmet headset as a safety gate, so without one connected the screen won’t hand control to CarPlay even with a phone plugged in. HogPlay’s USB-C bypass removes that gate so CarPlay unlocks on its own — see the caveat below for the newer Spyder.

What does the HogPlay USB-C bypass do for a Spyder?

The USB-C bypass adaptor plugs inline and removes the Bluetooth-headset requirement so wired CarPlay activates without a paired headset — more bypass coverage is coming soon as BRP expands the touchscreen lineup.

Is the bypass all I need on the newest Spyder models?

Not quite — on the newest Spyder RT/F3 touchscreens, BRP also requires a companion app on your phone alongside the bypass to fully unlock CarPlay, so plan on installing that app as part of setup, not the adaptor alone. Confirm your exact model year on the model page before ordering.

How do I get Android Auto on a Spyder?

Add a HogPlay Piglet adaptor — it layers Android Auto onto the factory 10.25″ screen alongside Mirror Link and AirPlay, since BRP never shipped Android Auto natively on any Spyder.

Can I stream video or add extra apps on my Spyder screen?

Yes — a HogPlay Media Box adds streaming apps on top of your CarPlay/Android Auto setup, turning the factory Spyder touchscreen into a fuller entertainment display for passenger downtime or parked use.

Does the Can-Am Ryker have CarPlay?

No — the Ryker only has a small 4.5″ non-touch instrument display, and BRP never built CarPlay, Android Auto, or a touchscreen into it at all. It’s a different platform from the Spyder and needs a different fix.

How do I add CarPlay to a Can-Am Ryker?

Since the Ryker has no touchscreen to tap into, HogPlay adds a bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen — a standalone touchscreen that mounts to the bars and runs wired CarPlay independent of the factory instrument display.

What’s the difference between fitting a Spyder and a Ryker?

A Spyder RT/F3 already has a touchscreen, so its fix is a bypass and/or Piglet that works through the factory display; a Ryker has no touchscreen at all, so its fix is an entirely separate bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen. Don’t assume one part fits both — confirm your model on the Can-Am model page.

Which Can-Am models does HogPlay support?

HogPlay covers MY2024&up Spyder RT and F3 models with the 10.25″ touchscreen (bypass and Piglet) and the Ryker (bar-mounted Media Screen). Older Spyder screens and exact model-year coverage are confirmed on the model page.

How do I find the right HogPlay setup for my Can-Am?

Start with our fitment finder and enter your year, make, and model to see exactly which bypass, Piglet, Media Box, or Media Screen fits your machine, or browse the full breakdown on the Can-Am model page.

Do these Can-Am upgrades require cutting into factory wiring?

No — HogPlay’s bypass, Piglet, Media Box, and Media Screen options are all plug-and-play add-ons designed to work with your Spyder or Ryker’s existing electronics, with no permanent modification to factory wiring.
