The HR400 ULTRA is Aquatic AV's aftermarket touchscreen head unit for Harley-Davidson touring bikes. It replaces the factory radio outright, and Aquatic AV says it lets you retain full use of your factory handlebar controls with no external module needed. Aquatic AV lists fitment as 2014-2023 Street Glide and Ultra Glide, 2015-2023 Road Glide, and 2015-2024 Tri Glide Ultra and Road Glide 3.
It runs a 7-inch colour TFT-LCD display, with wireless Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth streaming and hands-free calling, AM/FM, USB playback and a camera input. The faceplate is rated IPX6. A microphone and GPS antenna are supplied in the box.
Because the HR400 is an aftermarket unit, a HogPlay bypass adaptor does not apply to it — a bypass unlocks a factory CarPlay radio, and once the HR400 is fitted there is no factory radio left to unlock. What HogPlay adds here is screen mirroring: a USB Piglet brings Mirror Link and AirCast to the unit, which no head unit does on its own. A HogPlay Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and other streaming apps.

The HR400 does Apple CarPlay but not Android Auto. A HogPlay USB Piglet adds it — closing a gap the radio itself has.

A bypass adaptor doesn't apply to an Aquatic AV unit: a bypass unlocks a factory CarPlay radio, and yours has already replaced it.
What each part does
USB Piglets
A USB Piglet plugs into the head unit's USB port and adds Mirror Link and AirCast screen mirroring — mirroring your phone's actual screen to the dash, which no head unit does on its own. On the HR400 it also adds Android Auto, which this unit does not have natively (it does CarPlay only).
Media Boxes
A Media Box adds Netflix, YouTube and other streaming apps to the HR400, running them on the screen you already have.
Why there's no bypass adaptor here
A bypass adaptor unlocks a factory CarPlay head unit. Once a Aquatic AV HR400 is installed there's no factory radio left to unlock — the HR400 already does CarPlay itself. What HogPlay adds on top is screen mirroring and streaming, not activation.

Does the HR400 fit my Road Glide?
It fits 2015-2023 Road Glide models directly. Earlier Road Glides or anything outside that window should be checked against our fitment finder before you order.
What about Tri Glide Ultra and Road Glide 3?
The HR400 ULTRA covers 2015-2024 Tri Glide Ultra and Road Glide 3 trikes, so three-wheel riders get the same 7″ touchscreen and CarPlay experience as the two-wheel touring lineup.
I have a 2024 Street Glide — will this work?
No. Harley’s 2024+ Street Glide and Road Glide moved to the new Skyline digital platform, which doesn’t accept an aftermarket drop-in head unit like the HR400. Use our fitment finder to find the right option for a Skyline bike.
My Tri Glide is a 2025 or newer — does the HR400 still fit?
Not this unit — HR400 ULTRA coverage on Tri Glide Ultra & Road Glide 3 stops at 2024. For a 2025-or-newer trike, check the fitment finder for the correct current-generation radio.
