The 2023 Indian FTR carries the same liquid-cooled FTR 1200 V-twin into a fresh set of finishes — Black Smoke, Black Metallic, the two-tone Stealth Gray/Orange Burst, the exposed-weave Carbon Carbon Fiber, and the standout White Lightning over Indy Red — all without a factory touchscreen anywhere in the lineup. HogPlay closes that gap with an add-on 7-inch CarPlay and Android Auto screen, built-in speakers included, so this year's FTR gets wireless navigation, calls and streaming without altering its stripped, flat-track-inspired cockpit.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2023 Indian FTR left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Indian kept the 2023 FTR true to its street-tracker roots: a naked, upright roadster around the FTR 1200 liquid-cooled V-twin, with no fairing and no infotainment screen from the factory. The year's color sheet ran to Black Smoke, Black Metallic, a Stealth Gray/Orange Burst two-tone, the carbon-bodied Carbon Carbon Fiber, and the White Lightning over Indy Red scheme — none of which shipped with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. HogPlay's answer is an add-on 7-inch CarPlay screen with its own built-in speakers, wired to a universal USB feed; the install is plug-and-play and fully reversible, so the FTR's clean lines stay exactly as Indian built them.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2023 Indian FTR runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2023 Indian FTR rides in.
Android Auto on the 2023 Indian FTR: HogPlay makes the 2023 Indian FTR run wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — compare every Android Auto for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles option, then confirm your exact fit with What Fits.
