The 2021 Slim runs the Milwaukee-Eight 107 in the same low, stripped-down package Harley's kept consistent year over year, with bars that never carried anything more than basic gauges. There's no factory radio, no screen, and nothing to bypass - just an open handlebar waiting for a display. HogPlay's bar-mounted Media Screen fills that space with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in one self-contained unit.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2021 Harley-Davidson Slim left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Like the Slims before it, the 2021 model is built around the Milwaukee-Eight 107 and a deliberately spare layout - no fairing, no dash-mounted electronics, nothing between you and the road. That's the whole point of a Slim, and it's exactly why Harley never wired one for a stereo or a screen.
That doesn't mean riders don't want the same conveniences everyone else has come to expect: a map on the bars instead of a phone in a pocket, calls that come through a headset instead of getting missed, and music pulled straight from a phone. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto deliver all of that, but only if there's a screen to run them.
Since the Slim has no existing radio or wiring to work around, the HogPlay Media Screen is built to be a complete, standalone head unit - a 7-inch display that clamps to the handlebars and needs only power and ground to run wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. It also supports Bluetooth audio in and out, so it can play through its own built-in speakers, push audio out to a portable Bluetooth speaker, or tie into an amplifier and speaker system already on the bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2021 Harley-Davidson Slim runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2021 Harley-Davidson Slim rides in.
