The 2021 Pan America 1250 Special introduced Harley's Revolution Max 1250 to adventure touring, but the bike left the factory with bare handlebars and not a single wire for audio or navigation. The 2021 Pan America 1250 Special debuted as Harley's first true adventure-touring platform, built around the liquid-cooled Revolution Max 1250 engine. It's an off-road capable machine with a stripped-down cockpit — no fairing, no factory display, just clean handlebars and an odometer.
That blank cockpit is exactly why riders want CarPlay and Android Auto on this bike: turn-by-turn navigation off the beaten path, hands-free calls out on a long haul, and music or podcasts without fishing a phone out of a jacket pocket. None of that exists on the Special out of the box, because there was never a factory radio to begin with.
