The 2021 Fat Boy still leans on the Milwaukee-Eight 114 for its low-rev, high-torque character, and it still rolls out of the factory with a completely blank set of handlebars. HogPlay's bar-mounted 7-inch Media Screen is built for exactly that situation, bolting on with just a power and ground connection to give the bike wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the first time.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy

Little changes on the 2021 Fat Boy - it's still the Milwaukee-Eight 114 wrapped in the same solid-wheel Softail silhouette that defines the model. What also hasn't changed is the cockpit: Harley builds this bike without a fairing, without a dash, and without anywhere to run a factory screen.

That works for a rider who only wants the road in front of them, but most people also want navigation, calls, and music without digging out a phone at every stoplight. Because there's no existing radio wiring to tap into, getting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto here means installing a display, not upgrading one.

The HogPlay Media Screen is designed around that exact gap - a 7-inch unit that clamps to the bars, runs off power and ground, and carries wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on board from the start. Bluetooth audio in and out means it can also feed a portable Bluetooth speaker or an existing amp and speaker setup instead of relying only on its own built-in sound, giving this Fat Boy a genuinely flexible motorcycle media setup.

The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy rides in.

Android Auto on the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy: HogPlay makes the 2021 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy run wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — compare every Android Auto for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles option, then confirm your exact fit with What Fits.
