For 2020, the FXDR 114 still runs the Milwaukee-Eight 114 and keeps the same bare-bones, cafe-racer attitude with an empty cockpit where other Harleys mount a fairing and gauges. Harley built this one to be ridden, not wired for entertainment, so it left the factory without a radio or a screen of any kind. The HogPlay Media Screen bolts straight to the bars and turns that blank space into a self-contained hub for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2020 Harley-Davidson Fxdr left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Little changes on the 2020 FXDR 114 — it's still the Milwaukee-Eight 114 wrapped in the same low, minimal bodywork, with an open cockpit where a touring bike would carry a fairing and infotainment screen. Harley left that space empty on purpose, which means this bike has no radio, no display, and no factory wiring for either.
Riders who want navigation, hands-free calls, or their own music library on the road still need somewhere to put that information, and a phone propped on the bars isn't it. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto solve that by putting a real interface in front of the rider instead of a cracked phone screen.
The HogPlay Media Screen is built for exactly this situation: a self-contained 7-inch unit that mounts to the bars, runs on power and ground alone, and has CarPlay and Android Auto ready out of the box. Its Bluetooth audio in and out means the sound can stay on the screen's own speakers, or route out to a portable Bluetooth speaker or an amplifier setup already on the bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen on the 2020 Harley-Davidson Fxdr runs a dual-Bluetooth design — pair your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amplifier, handlebar speakers or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on the move, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is built rugged to stand up to the weather and the elements the 2020 Harley-Davidson Fxdr rides in.
Android Auto on the 2020 Harley-Davidson Fxdr: HogPlay makes the 2020 Harley-Davidson Fxdr run wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay — compare every Android Auto for Harley-Davidson & Indian motorcycles option, then confirm your exact fit with What Fits.
