2020 Harley-Davidson CVO CarPlay & Android Auto Fix

Harley’s 2020 CVO twins — the CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide — carry premium price tags and the same Boom!Box GTS 6.5GT touchscreen as the rest of the touring lineup, meaning even the top-shelf paint and 114ci engine do not buy you wired Apple CarPlay or any Android Auto on the dash.

About 2020 Harley-Davidson CVO Models

Both the CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide come loaded with premium Rockford Fosgate audio and the Boom!Box GTS screen, but CarPlay on that system only works through a paired Bluetooth headset — the touchscreen itself stays locked out of wired mirroring, and Android phones get no app support at all. For a $30,000+ motorcycle, that is a strange gap to leave unfilled.

Closing it takes two pieces: a CarPlay bypass adaptor to unlock the factory display, and a Media Box to run genuine Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through it. Riders who want the full technical rundown on the Boom!Box GTS platform before ordering parts should check our Boom!Box GTS radio guide first.
