The 2015 Street 500 was Harley-Davidson's answer to the modern city rider — a lean, liquid-cooled urban cruiser built around the all-new Revolution X 500 V-twin, a compact 494cc engine designed for light weight, easy handling, and easy ownership rather than long-haul touring muscle. It's a bike built for tight turns and stoplight starts, not stereo systems, so it left the factory with no radio or infotainment of any kind. The fix is the HogPlay Media Screen, a 7-inch bar-mounted display that brings real Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to this 2015 Street 500.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2015 Harley-Davidson Street 500 left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2015 Harley-Davidson Street 500 and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2015 Harley-Davidson Street 500

Harley built the Street 500 as an entry point — smaller, lighter, and more affordable than its big-twin siblings, with the Revolution X liquid-cooled engine trading raw displacement for a nimble, easy-revving ride through city traffic. It's a stripped-down bike by design, which is exactly why it never got a stereo or screen from the factory.

The HogPlay Media Screen closes that gap without reworking the bike. It mounts to the handlebars in clear view of the rider, wires to a power and ground source, and runs wirelessly to your phone for turn-by-turn navigation, calls, and music. The mount is reversible, so the unit goes on clean and comes off just as easily if the bike's setup ever changes.

Every HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so a 2015 Street 500 rider can pair a phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while the other feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker for real volume on the road. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own, no extra gear required. The whole unit is sealed and waterproof, built to shrug off rain, road grime, and vibration ride after ride.
