The 2015 Harley-Davidson Standard left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. Harley kept the Standard's spec sheet honest: a peanut tank, a single round headlight, and just enough chrome to look finished without looking dressed up. The 883cc Evolution V-twin trades big-twin torque for a lighter, flickable chassis that's easy to throw around town, and with no radio, no fairing, and no dash real estate to speak of, there's nothing in the way of a clean install. The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebars in view of the rider, runs on two wires spliced into switched power and a ground point, and connects to a phone wirelessly for CarPlay or Android Auto. The mount reverses for left- or right-side positioning, so it tucks in wherever the Standard's stripped-down cockpit has room.
The HogPlay Media Screen runs dual Bluetooth, so a 2015 Standard rider can pair a phone on one channel for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto while the second feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. Its small built-in speaker covers turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio alone, and the fully sealed, waterproof housing is rugged enough for a bare Sportster's exposed bars.
