The 2015 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom (H-D1) came out of Harley's factory H-D1 customization program, which let riders spec paint, wheels, and finish before the bike ever left the line, so this stretched, low-slung Sportster wears a stance few other owners share. Underneath the custom bodywork sits the familiar air-cooled Evolution 1200 (1,202cc), simple and torquey. What the H-D1 program never touched is electronics: bare bars, no factory radio or screen. The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that in one clean bolt-on.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2015 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom (H-D1) left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2015 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom (H-D1) and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2015 Harley-Davidson 1200 Custom (H-D1)

H-D1 buyers in 2015 picked their own paint scheme and wheel style before the bike was built, layering a personalized look on top of the standard Sportster custom-cruiser layout: stretched frame, low seat, pulled-back bars, and the air-cooled Evolution 1200 doing the work underneath. None of that customization extended to electronics, so the cockpit is still just bars and switches.

The HogPlay Media Screen clamps to those bars and wires into 12V power and a chassis ground, no factory harness to splice. Once mounted, it pairs wirelessly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and plays through its own built-in speaker, giving this Custom navigation and music it never came with. Because the mount is reversible, pulling it off later leaves the bars exactly as Harley shipped them.

The 2015 1200 Custom (H-D1) came off the line already dialed to spec, and the HogPlay Media Screen is a natural next step for owners who like their bike set up just so. It runs two Bluetooth channels at once — wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to the phone, and simultaneously an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A compact built-in speaker still handles voice guidance solo when needed. Fully sealed and waterproof, the housing is rugged enough to keep up with the Evolution 1200 in any weather.
