Strip away the custom paint and chrome and the 1200 Custom is still a Sportster at heart — light, low to the ground, and built around the torquey pull of the Evolution 1200. The 7-inch unit clamps onto the 1200 Custom's bare bars in the cockpit position the bike was never given, with its own built-in speakers doing the work no factory system was there to do. Installation is two wires — power and ground — nothing spliced into the bike's existing harness, so if the Custom ever goes back to its original blacked-out, screen-free look, the unit unbolts and the wiring pulls clean.
