The 2013 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic wears its 1980s touring roots proudly, blending Softail styling cues -- the classic front fork, wide whitewalls, and leather saddlebags -- with a big-inch Twin Cam 103 rumbling underneath, standard across the Softail lineup that year. It's a bike built for long, easy miles, but like every Softail of its era it rolled off the factory floor with no radio and no screen. Add the HogPlay Media Screen and this 2013 Heritage Classic finally gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the road.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2013 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2013 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2013 Harley-Davidson Heritage Classic

Harley leaned hard into nostalgia with the Heritage Classic, and the 2013 model carries that look forward with its studded seat, chrome-laced wheels, and detachable windshield -- all riding on the torque-rich Twin Cam 103 that replaced the 96 as the Softail standard the year before. It's comfortable, capable, and quiet in exactly the way a rider expects until they want turn-by-turn directions or a favorite playlist.

The HogPlay Media Screen solves that without touching the bike's factory wiring harness or dash. The 7-inch unit clamps to the handlebars, runs off a simple power and ground tap, and mounts reversible so it fits the Heritage Classic's bar layout however you've got it set up. No cutting into the console, no dealer install required.

Every HogPlay Media Screen built for the 2013 Heritage Classic runs on dual Bluetooth, so the unit pairs with your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while a second channel sends sound out to an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn prompts and light audio right at the bars even without external speakers wired in. The whole housing is fully sealed and waterproof, engineered to shrug off rain, road grime, and long days in the sun on a Heritage Classic built for exactly that kind of riding.
