The 2013 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe is pure nostalgia on two wheels — skirted fenders, whitewall tires, a chrome nacelle headlamp, and a wide saddle seat that pull its look straight out of the 1950s, all powered by the Twin Cam 96B big twin tucked into that clean, rigid-look softail chassis. It's a bike built for slow, easy cruising, not electronics, so Harley never wired in a radio. The fix for the 2013 Deluxe is the HogPlay Media Screen, a 7-inch bar-mounted display bringing wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike that predates all of it.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2013 Harley-Davidson Deluxe left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2013 Harley-Davidson Deluxe and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2013 Harley-Davidson Deluxe

Everything about the Deluxe's factory look is deliberate throwback styling — deep-skirted fenders, chrome trim rings, a leather-look seat, and the two-tone paint schemes Harley offered in 2013 — riding on a Twin Cam 96B that trades outright power for smooth, torquey cruising manners. It's a bike meant to be admired at a stoplight, not one that came with a single speaker or screen from the factory.

The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebars without altering the Deluxe's vintage lines or cutting into any of that chrome and sheet metal. It wires straight to power and ground, and the housing is reversible so it can be positioned to suit either side of the cockpit. Once it's up, the Deluxe finally gets navigation, calls, and music through a phone paired wirelessly to the bars.

Behind that screen sits dual Bluetooth, so a phone can pair for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on one channel while a second channel feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker for real volume on the open road. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own, no extra gear required. The whole unit is fully sealed, waterproof, and built rugged enough for whatever weather a 2013 Softail Deluxe rider rides through, so the HogPlay Media Screen stays reliable ride after ride.
