The 2009 Harley-Davidson Rocker C was Softail's boldest experiment: a raked-out, 34-degree front end paired with a softail rear end that hid its suspension behind a swingarm-mounted fender, giving it a rigid, bobber-chopper stance no other Harley in the lineup could match. Under the tank sat the Twin Cam 96 V-twin, fuel-injected and torquey. What the Rocker C never got was a factory radio or navigation screen. The fix is the 7-inch HogPlay Media Screen, mounted right to the bars.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2009 Harley-Davidson Rocker C left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Harley built the Rocker C for two model years before pulling it from the lineup, and its stripped, low-slung silhouette still stands apart from every other Softail that followed. That unique frame left zero room for factory infotainment, and most owners never bothered chasing an aftermarket fairing-mount stereo that would've fought the bike's lines. The HogPlay Media Screen skips that fight entirely.
It clamps to the handlebar, runs two wires to power and ground, and you're done — no dash cutting, no fairing to hack apart. The screen mounts reversibly too, so it comes off clean if the bike ever gets sold or the look changes.
Turn a bar-less 2009 Rocker C into a connected ride with the HogPlay Media Screen. Dual Bluetooth means one channel pairs your phone for wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto while the second streams audio out to an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker strapped to the bike. A small built-in speaker handles turn-by-turn prompts and light audio on its own, no external speaker required. Every unit is fully sealed and waterproof, built rugged enough to shrug off rain, road grime, and vibration mile after mile.
