The 2006 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide wears its drag-strip DNA on its sleeve — a stretched, raked-out Dyna frame, a fat 21-inch front wheel, forward controls, and chrome-covered fork tubes that push the front end out for that unmistakable stance. The 2006 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. Harley built the Wide Glide as a factory custom, and in 2006 that meant a stripped-down, low-slung cruiser powered by the fuel-injected Twin Cam 88, rubber-mounted in the Dyna chassis to smooth out the ride while keeping that big-twin rumble underneath you. Nothing on the dash hinted at connectivity, because there wasn't any — riders navigated by memory and rode in silence.
The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that without touching the bike's lines. It mounts to the handlebars, taps into a switched power source and ground, and runs wireless CarPlay and Android Auto plus turn-by-turn navigation right where you can see it. Installation is fully reversible, so the Wide Glide's stretched-out factory look comes right back if you ever pull the unit off.
Every 2006 Wide Glide that gets a HogPlay Media Screen gains two independent Bluetooth channels — one pairs your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, the other feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker.
