The 2018 Harley-Davidson Street Bob kicked off the all-new Softail platform's stripped-down, bobber-inspired lineup, pairing a single round headlight and minimalist fender with the freshly-redesigned Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-Twin for a noticeable jump in torque and smoother running manners over the outgoing Twin Cam. What it never got from the factory was a radio or infotainment screen of any kind. Riders wanting navigation and music on a 2018 Street Bob need to add it themselves, and the HogPlay Media Screen is built for exactly that gap.
No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen
The 2018 Harley-Davidson Street Bob left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

Harley stripped the Street Bob down on purpose that year, dual staggered shorty exhausts, a solo seat, and blacked-out finishes that leaned into the bobber look rather than touring comfort, all riding on the stiffer new Softail frame with its hidden monoshock. That minimalism is exactly why a factory radio was never in the picture, and why a bolt-on solution matters more here than on a loaded touring bike.
The HogPlay Media Screen mounts to the handlebars in view of the rider, wires straight to a power and ground source, and gives the 2018 Street Bob wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without cutting into the fairing or fender. It reverses easily for left or right-side clamp mounting depending on how the cockpit is set up, so it drops onto the Street Bob's clean bar layout without a custom fabrication job.
Every 2018 Street Bob riding without a factory screen can add the HogPlay Media Screen and get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the bars in minutes. Dual Bluetooth handles two jobs at once: one channel pairs to the phone for calls, maps and music, while the second streams to an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker for real volume on the open road. A small built-in speaker still covers turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own if that's all a rider needs. The housing is fully sealed and waterproof, built rugged enough to shrug off rain, road grime and vibration mile after mile.
