The 2018 Harley-Davidson Street 500 was built for the city, not the open highway — a lightweight, blacked-out commuter running the liquid-cooled Revolution X 494cc V-twin, tuned for smooth low-end pull and easy handling through traffic, tight turns, and daily stop-and-go. Harley aimed the Street 500 at riders who wanted the brand's attitude in an approachable, learner-friendly package. Like every Street 500, this one left the factory with no radio or infotainment of any kind — so if you want navigation and music on the bars, the HogPlay Media Screen is the way to add it.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2018 Harley-Davidson Street 500 left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2018 Harley-Davidson Street 500 and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2018 Harley-Davidson Street 500

The Street 500 pairs a low 25.7-inch seat height with a narrow frame and the Revolution X engine's liquid-cooled cylinders, giving new and returning riders a bike that stays light on its feet in city riding while still carrying real Harley-Davidson styling and sound. It was never fitted with a dash-mounted screen or Bluetooth audio from the factory, so the cockpit is clean but completely silent.

The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that without touching the bike's wiring harness or dash. The 7-inch unit clamps to the handlebars, taps into a 12V power source and ground, and pairs wirelessly with your phone for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Mounting is fully reversible, so the Street 500's stock bars and factory look return exactly as they were if the screen is ever removed.

Add the HogPlay Media Screen to a 2018 Street 500 and you get dual Bluetooth pairing — one channel handles wireless CarPlay or Android Auto from your phone, while the other feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker. A small built-in speaker covers turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio on its own. The housing is fully sealed and waterproof, rugged enough to handle rain, road grime, and daily commuter miles on the Street 500.
