The 2018 Harley-Davidson Breakout Anniversary marks the brand's 115th year with a drag-inspired power cruiser built around the Milwaukee-Eight 114, the redesigned Softail platform's biggest punch that year, wrapped in Legend Blue Denim paint and hand-applied 115th Anniversary graphics. Stretched out over a fat 240mm rear tire and low-slung 34-inch seat, this Breakout looks every bit the dragster it borrows its stance from. What it never got from the factory is a screen: no navigation, no CarPlay, no Bluetooth. The HogPlay Media Screen fixes that on any 2018 Breakout Anniversary.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2018 Harley-Davidson Breakout Anniversary left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2018 Harley-Davidson Breakout Anniversary and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2018 Harley-Davidson Breakout Anniversary

Harley built the 2018 Breakout Anniversary to turn heads at a standstill, not to run turn-by-turn directions or take calls through the bars — the drag-strip styling and Milwaukee-Eight 114 torque were the whole pitch, infotainment wasn't part of the package. The HogPlay Media Screen closes that gap without touching the stock look. The 7-inch unit clamps to the handlebars in view of the rider, taps into a 12V power source and ground, and pairs wirelessly to a phone for full Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Every HogPlay Media Screen mounted to a 2018 Breakout Anniversary runs dual Bluetooth, so the same unit that beams wireless CarPlay or Android Auto from your phone to the display can, on its second channel, push audio out to an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker riding along. A built-in speaker on the screen itself handles turn-by-turn prompts and light audio on its own if you'd rather skip external speakers entirely. The housing is fully sealed and waterproof, engineered to shrug off rain, road grime, and vibration on a bike this exposed to the elements.
