The 2018 Harley-Davidson Breakout marked the first year of the redesigned Softail platform, dropping the drag-inspired dragster stance onto Harley's new Milwaukee-Eight 107 big twin (114 optional) and a stiffer mono-shock chassis for sharper handling than the old Dyna-based frame. That fat rear tire and stretched-out silhouette turn heads everywhere, but the factory gauge is stock-basic — no CarPlay, no navigation, no way to run turn-by-turn or stream music. What it never got from the factory was any kind of infotainment, leaving riders stuck glancing at a phone mounted wherever it would fit.
