Factory head unitNo factory options — HogPlay Screen recommended
Factory USB locationNone

The 2017 Harley-Davidson Low Rider carries on Dyna's stripped-down, blacked-out bobber attitude — mini ape hangers, a low 26-inch seat height, and a cat-eye air cleaner sitting over the torquey Twin Cam 103 big twin. It's a factory custom built for attitude, not accessories, which means the 2017 Low Rider left the factory with no radio, no screen, and no navigation. The HogPlay Media Screen bolts to the bars and brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a bike that never had it.

No Factory Radio — Add Your Own Screen

The 2017 Harley-Davidson Low Rider left the factory with no radio, stereo or touchscreen to bypass — so instead of a workaround, you add your own. A standalone HogPlay Media Screen is a 7-inch head unit with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, live Maps & Waze navigation, calls and streaming built in — we recommend the Screen 7 Pro with its onboard DVR drive-cam. Most riders settle for Bluetooth-only kits that leave the phone in your pocket with no turn-by-turn directions; this puts it all on the bars instead. It mounts to the handlebars with basic power and ground and comes off just as easily, so reach out to the HogPlay team if you'd like a hand. (Media Box support on Screens is in development.)

We also stock universal parts that fit the 2017 Harley-Davidson Low Rider and most other motorcycles — standalone CarPlay screens and universal USB power.

About the 2017 Harley-Davidson Low Rider

Harley resurrected the Low Rider nameplate in 2014 as a factory bobber built on the Dyna platform, and the 2017 model kept that low-slung, minimalist formula — mini ape bars, a solo-style seat, and the Twin Cam 103 delivering plenty of low-end torque without any factory infotainment to distract from the ride. Since there's no dash cutout or OEM screen to work around, the HogPlay Media Screen mounts cleanly to the handlebars, a natural fit given how much bar real estate those mini apes already put on display.

Installation is straightforward: run power and ground to the battery, clamp the bracket to the bars, and the CarPlay/Android Auto screen is live. It's fully reversible, so nothing about the Low Rider's factory look or resale value is compromised.

Every HogPlay Media Screen ships fully sealed and waterproof, built rugged enough to handle whatever the road throws at a 2017 Low Rider. Dual Bluetooth pairs your phone for wireless CarPlay or Android Auto on one channel while a second channel feeds an auxiliary amp, handlebar speakers, or a portable Bluetooth speaker, and the small built-in speaker alone covers turn-by-turn voice prompts and light audio when you'd rather keep it simple.
