About 2010 Harley-Davidson CVO Models

Harley's Custom Vehicle Operations division loaded the 2010 CVO Electra Glide, Street Glide, Road Glide, and both Ultra Classic variants with the best factory audio money could buy that year — a fairing-mounted Harman/Kardon head unit driving upgraded speakers and amps. It sounds great for its era, but it was built years before Apple CarPlay or Android Auto existed, so there is no wired or wireless phone mirroring hiding in the menus. Turn-by-turn navigation, voice texting, and streaming apps simply are not part of the hardware.

Riders bringing a CVO into the modern smartphone era have two proven paths: swap the factory Harman/Kardon unit for a CarPlay-ready aftermarket radio built to the fairing opening, or leave the original stereo alone and add a bar-mounted HogPlay Media Screen for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto. Both routes work across the CVO Ultra Classic Black and the rest of the 2010 CVO family the same way.
